Pretty cool pin. I started LEDing it a little, but I think I'm gonna go all out on this one as it has that high-tech/ futuristic vibe to it. The magnetic/ robotic VR hands in the back are a cool feature, though they do slow the game down some. The machine is sleek, fast and very smooth. Had it been based on the Matrix, Blade Runner or even the Fifth Element, I think it would have been a huge hit. I've been told to resist the urge to actually see this movie, but I think I am going to ignore that advice and watch it anyway.

Hell, even Gilbert Gottfried and Michael Jackson make appearances:

The movie is good IMHO, hope that doesn't make you not want to see it.

Congrats on the new pin. Why bother with LEDs when you will just be trading it in a month or two? :D

Edit:
9 hours and I am the first person to reply?! WTF guys!

Congrats!!

Johnny Mnemonic is a great game that is doomed by a bad theme. It is the fastest game I have ever played. Great ramp and orbit shots.

Picked one up for my Father in Law and he likes it alot. A great deal on a later DMD machine.

Enjoy it!

Got one from a friend and was going to trade it.. as an IT guy, I found the movie offensive :) BUT, the gameplay and quality of the voice calls more than makes up for the memories of the rotten film :)

I can definitely say that Johnny Mnemonic is the on the lower-end of cyberpunk films unlike Tron, Fifth Element, Blade Runner and the Matrix. That being said, I think it's still a fun film that's over the top and has some great ideas, that are just poorly executed. The cyberspace scenes should've been a lot more awesome but for some reason, they just fall flat for me, personally.

Anyways, I never knew they made a pinball game out of this...that's too funny. XD

Fun game - my local pizzeria had one up until about a year ago but it would always reset in the middle of a game. What'd you trade for it?

Jurassic Park and Cash. My goal is to play it for a few months, see how much I really like it, then if I get bored, trade it for a Demolition Man, Junkyard, Godzilla or Judge Dredd. I was just looking for something new. Guy contacted me about the trade and since a decent amount of cash was thrown in I bit.

Futuristic Pinballs that were made:

Demolition Man
Judge Dredd
T2/ T3

Futuristic pinballs that shoulda been made:

-The Running Man
-Total Recall
-The Fifth Element
-Blade Runner

Total Recall made it to the proto stage with a awesome V shaped two player machine.

TOTAL RECALL? Awesome :) Thanks for that, I didn't know that was ever even prototyped. Maybe when Zitt gets done with his Mirror Universe Start Trek pinball mod, he'll work on a Fifth Element.

This is one "C" list game that I've always actually liked. I like it much better than most of the other 90's games in that price range. Had it on my list of "grab if it comes along" for a while but eventually it fell off my short list. Very fast game. Movie was cheese, but for some reason it doesn't bother me, and I'm an IT guy. I actually kinda like the fake computer lingo. :)

I think part of the reason I like it was because the first several times I played it was on route. A lot of times that made a difference for me.

What about the Matrix? Great movie. If any of those had been The Matrix instead of what they really were, they would have been MUCH more desirable games.

It looks pretty cool with LED's. Somebody had one at one of the shows last year.

The movie was ok, but the novella was better. William Gibson was the man for cyberpunk. If you haven't read any of his stuff, go look for it. Burning Chrome, Neuromancer (which was made into a so-so computer game) and Count Zero come to mind.

It is on my short list when I win the lottery....:D

This is one of those pins I've never played but have heard nothing but great things about. Same thing with Judge Dredd.

Congrats on the new addition, man.
