I got one of my personal "sought after" games today, X-Men. Thanks a ton to Ga Gamer for helping me out. This game is in really good shape. Im pretty stoked to have it...

Looks nice! Does it have the sound and everything? BTW Night Crawer rulers lol!

Sound works 100%, Picture is gorgeous with very minimal burn in. Only thing that needs a little tlc are the joysticks, feels like they need a little cleaning, no biggie. Its got a metal plate on the side that said it belonged to Aladdins Castle. I put my turtles board in it just to see if it would play, which it did, but no sound. This game has a little connector that goes from the xmen board directly to the speakers, and the tmnt board doesnt have that connection, which is weird, I always thought those boards were interchangeable...

X-Men has stereo sound whereas TMNT has mono. Probably won't be able to run TMNT in there without some modification.

Ah, I was hoping to have one konami cab and swap xmen, tmnt, and simpsons out rather than having three very large four player cabs taking up space...It was a noble idea in theory...haha

Yeah, I think X-Men can be switched to mono via dipswitches, but that would only be helpful if you were putting that board into a TMNT cabinet.

Congrats on the pick up! X-Men is one of my all-time favorites for sure. Your machine is only wired for stereo sound and the mono wiring off the JAMMA connector isn't hooked up. I'm not sure if there's any risk in just adding the 2 wires to the JAMMA connector and running them to one of the speakers. May be a good option.

Another cool trick is to attenuate (than amplify) the + and - outputs from a TMNT board (one for right audio, one for left).

It will play in pseudo stereo (not split mono).

If you hook it up to a pro-logic receiver, different effects will play through different channels.
