Swung by and picked these up today. Star Wars is rather rough but plays blind. Not sure what I'm going to do with either of these yet. I really was planning to stop picking them up for a while.

Yeah, the price for one wasn't bad. But two was the better value. He's still got some classics for sale. Um let's see...he had a Joust, Centipede, Battle Zone, Asteroids and maybe one or two more.

How many Star Wars machines is that for you this year???

Four. Weird the way games seem to come in waves isn't it?

Jehuie wants to give me a SW yoke...

While that is certainly true, I couldn't do that to the poor Star Wars!

....and I swapped the board into one of the other games and it appears to work perfectly. So it's time to rebuild yet another vector monitor!

Nice! I had a feeling you were going to ping Finn since it's not too far from you. I posted this thread last week about them going bankrupt.

He was asking $500 each game so I'm guessing you paid a little less than that for both? Not too bad if you can get that SW working. NBA Jams is awesome too. But I see you're running out of room as you have games in a bedroom now. Haha.

Hey Jess. Yeah I saw your post. They aren't closing the place though. I talked to the owner and he sounds like they are emerging from bankruptcy rather soundly and is very optimistic. His dad started the place years ago and now he's the owner. They aren't clearing out any of the money makers and he sounded sad to be letting these go but it was a financial decision. Nobody plays them and they are expensive to keep running so out they go.

I'm not saying how much I paid for them but let's just say he quite negotiable if you but more than one machine.

That's cool. Yeah, I heard they still have other locations open and are doing okay. Probably better than Golf Land. Swung by the Golf Land in Castro Valley yesterday and the arcade was lame as expected. The mini golf course looked run down as well. I don't even know how that place stays open.

Nice pickup's! How much did he want for the battlezone and what kind of condition was it in?Can I take you with me for the discount?

Well I'm certain that if you showed up with $350 you could take BZ home. I thought that was to much consider it's not working especially. But...if you offer to buy 2 or 3 games the price drops quickly. No need to bring me. He's a super nice guy and easy to deal with. He moved the games out for me. Provided brand new locks and coin mechs too.
