Hey all, new guy here. Been lurking for awhile, reading and trying to learn as much as I can from you all. I picked up what I think is a pretty decent Centipede cabaret today and just wanted to share some pics. I'll be going through it in the coming weeks, cleaning it up and trying to get started on doing all of the appropriate maintenance work, such as a cap kit, replacing big blue, etc. I know I'll probably be coming to you with questions and looking for advice once in awhile.

Quick story behind this pede is that the previous owner had it for about 15 years and it's hardly been played the last 10 years. But it's complete and it works. [EDIT: See pics attached in follow-up posts below.]

Very nice. There looks to be little or no wear to the control panel overlay around the trackball. It's not very common to find a Centipede like that.

Very nice! That is a great price too IMHO. And I have to add... WOW, the CP isn't ripped around the trackball!

I hope youre prepared to take it to the grave! I bought one and restored it hoping I could pass it on to the next deserving collector, but alas, its stuck to me like glue...

Nice find, by the way!

Nice score!!

I kinda miss the one I used to own, next to my Tempest cabaret that I used to own too, they were a nice set of twins! Enjoy that machine looks to be complete in all it's originality. That thing looks to have low plays on the coin counter?

That's one of the best looking GO-7's I've seen in any Centipede- clean chassis and what looks like almost no burn-in on the tube.

Congrats on the score; I've got a cabaret too, mine was converted to Capcom Bowling so it took a couple years to gather all the parts. I gotta thank Scott Caldwell again for generously providing his last mini repro control panel, which is perfect.

Welcome to the group and well done!

Thanks. It has 15917 clicks on the counter. The pede will be going next to my Tempest UR. This is only my second game, but I hear it gets hard to resist growing the collection. ;)

Thanks, glad to be here. The screen does have some burn in, but it doesn't bother me at all.

Yeah, I thought the CPO was in great condition around the trackball. Too bad there is wear down to the bare metal on the front right-hand side though. I think I'll live with it and leave it alone for now.
