Saw the ad on CL, responded to the email. Guy said it doesn't work. No problem.
Received directions, was there in about an hour. Good ol' Phoenix traffic!
Came to a house, garage is PACKED! Couldn't believe it. There was no pics of this cab, just the contact info. Oh boy! Lucky for me, it only required removing a row of boxes, filled with books of course...
I use the dolly, remove, throw it in the truck.
Without being rude, I listened to the story of how the hospital "screwed him up". A half hour later, I pay the $40. He asked me why I didn't haggle. I just said it was worth it to me (going to make this for my sister) and was on my way home.
I drop it off in my garage. Leave it alone for about a week. Decided to go out there yesterday to start stripping the parts for pwdercoat. Open up the back door and see the worst splice job of the electrical cord.
It looked worse than what it was, so I decide to plug it in to see what was going on.
No power, no nothing.
I looked at the fuses, all there, tested fine. Then looked at the power locks, both were turned sideways and not on! Pulled out the levers, fired up!
Monitor is collapsed and rolling, marquee doesn't work with a new bulb and starter, however game sounds and seems to play ok!
Got pretty lucky!
You know it's bad when the sideart, CPO, trackball, etc all individually cost more than the initial cab!
