So I fell into a Stern World Poker Tour today. The cab is in good shape, back box lights don't work, and playfield is dirty. Only had a few min to check it out. It powered on and didn't show any faults right off on the display. Its now in the back of my truck. Ill get it home and do some testing, but for a 150 bucks I cant have done to bed

Got it home. Inside the back box is pretty clean. The playfield is Fn dirty. After testing I'm pretty sure Ill have to change coils, all rubber, change to LEDs. Still after all that and even is there are more things that pop up I think I did pretty good.

Hey, a $150 pin that isn't trashed out is a pretty good find. At least you're saving it from the trash heap. Post some pics when you can.

I was in the zone last night forgot to take pics before I started cleaning it. The play field had a layer a black crudd all over it. The center and right pop ups are not poping back up as they should.

Ill remove all the playfield stuff and clean and wax it. I'm gonna start putting a list of parts together. I couldn't believe the deal I got for sure. Heck if I had found it a day before I would have had to pay 300. :)

That thing looks beautiful. Why was the guy selling it so cheap? Is it water damaged or something?

No water damage at all I got it from a Government MWR sale. It had been sitting in a warehouse for years. The cab has a few small nicks here and there but overall its in great shape considering. It was probably in a on Post club pretty sure they got their money out of it. Best deal I ever got on anything for sure.

I worked on the center and right drop targets. Think I have them good to go with just one of the center drop targets that wont stay up. There are a lot of the side lamps out. The back box light is out. I replaced the started and bulb but only got a quick light then nothing. I am going to work on it and play it. When I get replacement rubber I will strip the playfield for a real good clean and wax. The center of the playfield cleaned up pretty good.

So I fixed the drop targets. The back box light is kicking my ass. I replaced the starter, and bulb and nothing. Any suggestions?

Only thing left that it could be is the ballast.

After doing some reading I think Ill update it to a LED in the back box. I ordered replacement sleeves for the coils, full white replacement rubber, new locks, balls, and a lamp socket that I broke one side of. I plan to replace or rebuild the pop bumpers also.

Pinball Life sells a replacement piece for the upper playfield. Certainly do a flipper rebuild, also! Nice score!

That's what I was planning for sure. This might be a crazy question. My drop targets reset on the first pop solenoid but all three always seem like the solenoids pop 3 times fast every time they reset. Is this normal?

Fixed the back box light. I found a ballast from a old beer sign I had laying around and replaced the one in the pin with it and damn if it doesn't work.
