Picked this off the Curb this morning/ ID board help

Guy on craigslist said he ripped out the guts of an elevator action to turn into a mame machine. I knew I would miss it after work, so I took a super early lunch to get it.

I dont think its an elevator action. Any thoughts on what this is?

That's probably a Megastar, which was the final button-based game Merit produced before the Megatouchs. (Possibly a Superstar 30, but I forget if it required the daughterboard. It's definitely not a touchscreen board since there isn't a touchscreen daughterboard on it.) There were other versions that used that board, but they didn't require the daughterboard. About 10 years ago, those CRT-250s were quite popular and were selling around $300 each. That one looks to be in pretty nice shape!

Yeah, its pretty clean looking. I haven't really inspected it too much yet. I have no idea how Im going to test to see what this board is though. The harness on this thing is massive, so it should be fun to go through, especially seeing I really dont know what Im doing lol

Here is some of the stuff that came with it. The monitor has pretty heavy burn, but Il going to see if I can get it going anyway. What is that little powersupply looking thing in the first picture?

The little board in the first pic appears to have diodes on it. They might be for coin lamps or possibly for switch inputs (coin, service, whathaveyou).

If you don't want that board, I'll take it. ;)

My kiddo has a bartop Merit poker game we're going to finish rebuilding one day.

In the first pic, that one is an isolation transformer for the monitor. I know I've seen the smaller board used in older machines I had, but I forget what it was used for. In the second pic, the only part that is needed at all for the board is the switching power supply. The rest of the block must be the original power supply from the original game.

If the wiring harness is a Merit harness, they are pretty easy to hook up. If it's a hack job, that may be a bit more work. I'm sure I have a pinout and wiring diagram at home.
