Pi on vector monitor?

i'm pretty sure many of arcadejason's products, like red-zone (red baron/battlezone), use a Pi to emulate vector games inside of a real vector cabinet with a real vector monitor.

Yes.
I have built a few already.
There are a few projects using AdvanceMame for the Pi and a vector generating board.

The projects that @ArcadeJason and Ralf are working on are not emulation (and not using a Pi) and are not exactly fpga either if I understand it all correctly.

they are indeed emulation. but my vector boards are the only emulation boards which use the original draw routines as the original pcbs. to make this possible custom emulators had to be made for this specific hardware. (not mame)
pi position is the only product i have made that uses MAME and that is now discontinued and will be replaced with a different nonmame pcb this year.

I was hoping you would chime in to clarify Jason.
I knew I screwed some part of that up.

It is very cool work.
Hope to see it continue so that I can play some more of these old (rare) faves accurately on proper screens.

So will the old PiPosition just be junk then, or is it working fine now? I own one, but have never used it.
