Photos of arcade entrances in malls

Attached is one I got from Facebook of the Atari Adventure that was here in St. Louis at Crestwood Mall. And probably the best shots I've ever seen of Atari Adventure: http://www.billpoon.com/atari.html . I emailed this architect for more info or pictures but sadly never heard anything back. This is solely responsible for me being so into arcade games today. As as a 5 year old in 1986, this pretty much blew my mind.

Thanks for posting that. Those pictures are great..wish there were more that we could see.

Here is the Aladdin's Castle in Maplewood Mall in MN. Still going, although the game selection is non-existent now...

This one is right inside the mall entrance at Dave and Busters in the Great Mall near San Jose:

Here's a picture of my youth arcade back in 1986 this picture was pulled from the web and I believe is the only picture of the front of "GoldMine arcade" the picture is not the best in quality but you get the point of what it looked like from the front. I trully miss that arcade great memories playing there :)

holy crap! We had one exactly like that in the Bristol Mall back in the 80's...I was thinking about that when i started reading this post and figured "no one probably ever heard of it"...did not expect a pic of one...same outside and sign, everything...loved that place...spent a ton of money in there over the years...I always thought it was a local thing and had no idea there were others....pretty cool to see it again....it's been LONG gone here since about 1988 or so.

Here is a Barrel of Fun Arcade sign I am in the process
of reproducing in wood. The perspective of this picture
has been adjusted so I could grab the shapes
of the letters.

I am actually also in the process of doing the Gold Mine sign as well.
(combination of Metal and wood)

There was a Gold Mine arcade in Knollwood Mall over by Hopkins, MN too. It is long gone now though.

I trully miss that place too! The best thing about the Gold mine arcade was the inside of the arcade looked like a mine shaft and it was dark looked really cool! Here's a picture of the inside of Gold mine before it was torn down.
