looks to be in great shape where in the world did you find it? funny thing is i was just thinking the other day i saw a spot on the side of a gas station where a pay phone used to sit and thought to myself back in the day it was someones job to go around and collect the money from those things. think about it when i was growing up there were pay phones everywhere now its easier to find waldo. its funny how fast things change. again great phone booth

Phonebooth

Hey thanks guys glad you like it. I got it from our local KLOV member SystemJinx/Mark He has another one for sale if you didnt see his post its in the for sale section.I had 4 more pictures of the entire thing but my crappy old computor wouldnt load them.Just got my phone today a friend at work picked it up in Puallup yesterday for me. I just put it in my truck this morning he brought it to work with him. Its a very clean sweet looking phone, from what I have been able to find out its from around 1978 its a Western Bell rotary phone.Looks just like the pushbutton but rotary. Its all compete accept for the locks which I am going to hunt for today and the lady said it works purfect. I cant wait to get home today to mount it.Anyone know what year those are for sure and the model number.I should be able to find a model number tonight when I check it out but it would be fun to research it at work today. The push button is a Western Bell D1 if that helps but mine is rotary unless the rotary is a D1 also but with the rotary option instead of push button.Oh and the payphone even has the address of its origonal location in Grahm,wa. Lots of fun trivia wish I could find out where the booth itself was origonally located....Later.....Dave

In a neighboring small town, there is a Bill and Ted style phone booth. I would love to have one like that. When I get my ideal gameroom (some year), I definitely want either a wall mounted pay phone or a full size booth.

A guy at work said he might be able to get me a push button payphone for my gameroom. That would be ausome to have on the wall.

That really looks awesome Dave. My hometown of Melrose had just one phone booth in town. It was the red and gray style, full length with accordion doors. They had it on the corner of County Rd 4 and Main Street. It was kitty corner from the Old Firehall (torn down in 87 or so) where we used to have our Cub Scout/ Boy Scout 'Troop 68' Meetings. Sad that cell phones have made these things obsolete for the most part. Yours brings a tear to my eye.
