Technically some Ms Pac cabinets came from the factory with stenciled art (plywood cabinets) and the later run had vinyl decals (particle board cabinets). There are slight differences in those cabinets as well, but not in the profile/cut of the sides, afaik.

I just don't understand why Namco licenses people to sell vinyl side art but not stencils for side art? It's not like we're making bootleg machines here. We own the machines and we are simply trying to restore them.

Two-Bit doesn't sell em, and it would be an extremely low demand item. Basically, some of us collectors would restore a cabinet with stencils for the authentic look, but I doubt anyone operating one would ever bother with that.

Does anyone know if Phoenix Arcade sells the repro art pieces separately, or do you have to purchase the whole 3-piece set? I just need the front panel sticker :/

I am not sure, but I believe he prefers to sell as sets. I would ask them though. darinjacobs is Phoenix Arcade. Shoot him off a PM or send him an email or call via the info on his website.

if i bought a stencil couldnt i just let all my buddies use it when im done? or while its there cut out new ones. they probably realize how fast it would get passed around and then no one would drop hundreds on the stickers

btw who sells the hot pink t-molding? thats going on mine!

The stencils are one time use. They stick to the side of the cab when you are painting. They basically get torn apart when you are peeling off. If you really wanted to try to cut a new one from one you buy, I guess you could try, but I doubt it would come out very well. The stencils sold are cut by a plotter. There is a stencil for each color and for each side. Lots of pieces.

I'm about to order a set of full art

Question about applying this to a cab.

Did you guys paint it blue underneath first or did you just decal over the sanded primer?
