Phet's Regret, or Games I wish I woulda bought at Auction

It happens every year, including the auction last Saturday. A sweet game I have my eye on gets bid to 2, 3 sometimes even 4X what I am willing to pay, so I lose out. So why this year, when some games couldn't even get a $25 opening bid, did I not end up with them? Space. Space in the truck, space in the shop, space in the gameroom. Man, here were some beauties I shoulda grabbed just cuz:

Maybe next year all my projects will be done or sold, and I can go nutz again.

Phet do you even have any room left? The last pics of your game room looked like you didn't have much real estate left.

Yep, 3 open spots in the Outer Limits, 2 left in Galaxy Blue. I may lose my pinball machine and a dartboard, which would open up 2 more spots. So at present, 5 spots open, 7 possible, then I am full.

Was there anything good at the auction (besides these) that went for decent prices?

DK Jr Cocktail - $125 (working)
Star Wars Upright - $250 (complete, nice shape, non-working)
Tempest Cocktail, nice shape, non-working $400?

Newer:

Killer Instinct
War Gods
Mortal Kombat
Several Golden Tee 2005's (Tuxedo Cab) and 2 or 3 Silver Strikes.
Rush the Rock's, Rush 2049's, Cruisin's, Nicktoons racer, 4 player Xmen, Spiderman, etc.

There was a lot of shit there.

Does that Circus have a dimensional bezel? Do the balloons pop out?

What was that game? Neat.

Yes, much like the many groomed and tanned schwangers at Fritz's last Bathhouse Blowout, the balloons do indeed pop out the front. Some even startle you they're so three dimensional and round.

Wow- spaces left in Galaxy Blue and you passed on that Space Zap?

Well, none of them worked and were never even powered up in my presence. I had no idea how extensive a resto on any of those 3 would be, and I have enough projects at home that are actually working to finish first. They'll be back at the next auction in a month or 2 I'm sure.

Circus would be a fun one to have. I loved the atari 2600 version. I recently picked up a sea wolf so I've got that one covered. :)

Actually, the Star Wars sold for $150 !

I looked at it, but didn't feel like restoring another one. Was complete, had a 6100 in it. Also had about 1/2" of bird crap accumulation covering the top of the cabinet.

Was it $150? Well there you go, I was drinking outside when that one sold as well.

Sea Wolf:

The Sea Wolf ended up going home with me; I picked it up for a friend. Anything that got a "pass" (no bid) in that last group of games, they'd sell to you after the auction ended for $25 apiece if you asked them.

It's in really nice cosmetic shape (except for the step), but missing the power supply board.
