Peter Chou Power Supply HELP

yes I did
you just don't like my answer

whats the value of the game board/pcb you are trying to power or are you ignoring my question for the second time
maybe too much 420 in your name

ok, don't take my advice
I will still try and help you no matter how much you _____

let us know what the fix was just for curiosity plz

I thought this was such an incredibly rude comment that I feel obligated to post about something I've learned recently.

Before I met my wife, I would just throw something away, and buy something new, ALL THE TIME. She made me realize that I am adding to landfills, when I could be re-purposing something to work again like new. Now, everyone in the world shouldn't be repurposing something if they don't know how to fix it, but to just buy something new for the sake of it is really bad for humanity in general.
Also, some people feel that it's therapeutic to fix and repurpose things. I used to, every day, look forward to come home from work and fix something to repurpose it. I understand your reasoning of how it's easy enough to buy something new, but not everyone wants to do that.

If you don't want to help him fix it, then don't post.

OP: I'm sorry, I don't have any info on how to help you fix your problem. I just wanted to make a statement that I feel needed to be made in an effort to try to clear up a thread with a troll that scares people off.

Thanks Pat, for the good words. I'm thinking the same everything can be fixed or should try eepicslly f it's well made to begin with. I only wish I could deleat his posts. As they really aren't helpful. If I followed his advice all my atari games would be mame on a LCD. Duh. I mean none of my games were working when I got them and had to fix them. Now they all work. Not to mention I'm only trying to fix the power supply for the sake of fixing the thing it's not going in any game maybe my test bench.

Any his thanks.

I agree with splatt, replace that power supply. Problem solved. Fixing a linear supply is one thing, repairing a cheap switcher is another and really not worth it.
