Anyone else pick(ing) this up? Some people are bitching that the aiming is a bit too sensitive, and I can agree to a point, but overall I'd say it's a worthy port of a classic FPS.

Too bad I already have a glitched achievement on the damn thing

I don't really have any interest in this. I actually never played Perfect Dark (there goes all my street cred) and I didn't like Perfect Dark Zero at all. I tried going back to it a couple times and just couldn't get into it.

Better to remember these games than to have to play them again. Unless theres significant updates done the gameplay just doesnt hold up.

Never played the original, so no nostalgia for me to get it now...

Never played PDZ, but I heard it was pretty forgettable. I'll admit that this game shows its age, but they really did it some good bringing it over. It says quite true the original while eliminating the problems with the original.

For $10, it packs a lot of game into a small package.

Definitely for $10 it is worth it. IMO the N64 version was hurt a lot by slowdown making it unenjoyable at some points. Perfect Dark Zero was a good game/concept in theory but I really got no enjoyment out of it. I only played it once before it was permanently retired. The original is a kick ass game though, just like Goldeneye was. Does the XBLA version have online play?

But of course. And from what I hear, all the classic GoldenEye weapons are available in multiplayer, as are a couple of the maps. There's a character in a "Dinner Jacket."

I picked it up but due to time constraints have only played through the first level.
They did a great job with this port from what I saw. I spent way too much time playing this back in the day.

We'll have to play soon Mattroid.

Best Live arcade game since BF 1943...

I guarantee you that you wont find a better thing to spend your 800 points on. This game is really great. Granted I grew up on Goldeneye and the original, the gameplay still holds up well after all this time.

Having so much fun trying to get thru this thing on Perfect agent. The aiming is a little too touchy, makes it hard to get headshots on enemies too far away. Havent tried to adjust it yet, but I am getting used to it.

Also online play is extremely fun, you spawn without a gun though, so you are basically useless until you get some firearms. Went on a 11-0 massacre on these 3 noobs at Felicity earlier today. Really brought back the memories.

Co-op is great over live as well. Haven't tried counter-op yet, but I bet that is going to be great as well

Even if you never played the original, its still worth it.

Do yourself a favor... Pick it up, you wont regret it.

Single Player and Coop is great.
The online though sucks, I don't recall spawning without at least a pistol in the original. Maybe I'm wrong though.

I wanted to check that in the original... I found my 64 cart, but I cant seem to locate my 64... its in a box somewhere out in my garage... Man I gotta clean lol

I might just bust out the emulator and see. I asked my friend who plays goldeneye and he was pretty sure you spawned with the pp7.

It is extremely rough spawning up in the sights of a guy with double AR and youre sitting there twiddling your thumbs...

The disarm is pretty sweet tho if you can get close enough. Straight up take their gun and leave them defenseless... until they bust out their backup guns and blow you away :)

EDIT: Just tried both PD and GE on Project64... They kept this remake as close to the original as far as I can tell, you spawn up empty handed in both of the 64 originals.

I downloaded the demo. Haven't gotten a chance to play it yet though. Have they touched up the graphics? If it's the same as on the N64 I'll pass. I still ahve Perfect Dark on the N64 so can pop that in if I feel like playing it. Loved the game and was let down by PDZ.

Graphics are redone in 1080p... Looks great, check out the demo
