I just picked this up and have no idea the model.

I did read the labels inside and didnt see a model jump out at me.

It also has issues with vending. I know next to nothing about Pop Machines but will be reading a lot now. It will accept the coins but I am not sure it is energizing whatever gets energized to let you make a selection. If you go in and manually push one of the levers inside you can get the middle one to vend the others need some help by hitting the micro switch. All but the middle motor are either super slow or do not move at all.

Would any one be able to ID this and point me in the right direction on the vending issue?

More Pics here

TIA

I am still unsure

I looked through images for an hour or so and looked at the two main sites Ken Layton posted in another thread. Some are close but nothing is exact.

I find myself looking at the coin return and it being parallel to the dispensing door and didn't see anything with a model number jump out at me. When I do find one, the front is close but he dispensing mechanism is different.

I will go out today and do a Deep Dive all over the machine and see what I can find.

It does run great, gets super cold and is solid. It does have some rust here and there but that is to be expected.

yeah idk where you would find a number other than the serial plate, mines on the side of my machine outside. luckily the compressor works

on a side note, theres a ton of Dixie Narcos that looks really close. but they dont have the vent on the bottom. and the marquees are 2 piece and smaller, which i dont know if that could have been swapped with one big piece, cause then it would match?

My first thought was ChoiceVend, but it says Vendo at the bottom right. Many of the pushbutton machines aren't documented well in the SMC database. Most of the collector sites don't get into this style machine.

I have found that

I didnt buy it as a collectors piece - I just wanted something to keep drinks cold. Do you have a recommended site where I could order some parts for the coin mech / dispensing system?

I am not getting power to the dispenser motors and I am suspecting one of the two relays past the coin mech.

If you pop in at Soda-machines.com, post a picture with whats going on with the machine. There is one or 2 guys there that service these machines and can point you in the right direction..

Do you have product in the machine? Many of the vend circuits in these machines use microswitches to detect product before it will allow a vend cycle. I think you need atleast 4-5 cans in a column to vend.

Thanks for helping

Yep - I found the micro switch "Paddle" in the storage column. It has two microswitches for an A and B. It an do bottles or cans as well.
I am waiting on an admin to approve my account there before I an post. I tried at colamachines.om too but ant see the verification code box to create and account.

Thanks for helping

You are all fixed up. You should have gotten a confirmation email to activate the account yourself, but I found your account and activated it.

thanks guys

The coin mech is a little smaller than mine - that might indicate newer or older based on style. I have no idea which would have come first or if they jumped back and forth with the big and small. It also has the strip running down the door face and mine doesnt. Mine could have been removed though.

It gets me in the right era anyway. 60's - 70's

I just dont want to order parts based on one I think is lose only to find that they wont work.

I posted on colamachines.com - hopefully someone will ome along who has seen it.

Now relooking at the pics - I can see that just because a machine has a model number I cant expect it to look a certain way.

Thanks

looks a lot like my Dixie Narco..

It is similar

The marquee area is a different size, but the coin return is in the right spot. Also mine has the vendo grill on the bottom, and yours has no grill.

Does your internal vending mech look like mine?

Thanks

Looks like I have a Frankenstein.
Can you tell me the model information for your Dixie Narco and I will go from there?

Have you ordered parts for yours at all? Like I posted earlier mine has a vending issue - no power out to vending motors. I am thinking one of the two relays might be bad and have no idea what relay will work in it.

TIA

Solved

It's a Vendo Super-Stack 111/214 circa 1980.

I stumbled on the model while looking for parts.

I solved the issue of it not working. The Coin mech was the cause. I canibalized two to make one.

I do need to replace one of the E M C Motor Co. Vend Motors.

Thanks all
