Just was wondering if there's a missing market for Hit the Ice, Gretzky Hockey or even Bubble Hockey?

I love hockey but would anyone play a hockey game at a modern arcade?

I'm not rushing out to get one for Rusty Quarters but I would like to hear peoples thoughts about it.

The closest thing I really would consider playing is a chexx hockey, but beyond that, nah. This is to say, I'm not a hockey fan of any kind, I will watch it once in a while but not often.

Bubble hockey is one of those games that people talk about wanting to play but they rarely will do so on location. You need two people in order to play and they need to have similar experience levels with the game in order to have a fun game. Modern arcades don't have the flow through to support the head to head games.

That being said, if you were to create a bubble hockey league you should be able to garner a ton of interest. League play should revolve around tournaments that people pay to enter. Getting people in the door is the key to something like this being successful.

We do something similar with modern console games and the rest of the games do pretty well while the tournament is in progress.

Yup. I worked for an op, and we had all these locations beg for

Bubble Hockey
Fooseball
Dart boards

you'd put them in and watch them make a dollar a week.

You'd be lucky to do that now.

If you got a nice one for free and had a place to store it, you could trot it out once a year during hockey playoffs, more as an attraction to bring people in to play other stuff.

LTG :)
