Bought a Ms. Pacman that has a (seemingly) new monitor in it. Manf. date was 1998, it's a Pentranic 1019. It doesnt show any burn in when off, but, it wont come on.
I checked everything I know to check, Im assuming it's the flyback?
no glow on neck of tube, nothing. As soon as I turn on the machine, it blows the 2 amp fuse on the monitor board.

Anyone familiar with this monitor? Where can I buy a replacement flyback?

Thanks, I emailed them. Hopefully they can help with the monitor issue.

About all you can do with those Pentranic chassis is to take it out of the monitor and throw it as far as you can (hopefully in the direction of a dump) and get a replacement. So far that is the best I've been able to do with them. The chassis are junk and when something goes, it seems like it takes about half the components with it. There are one or two schematics floating around that don't seem to match up completely with the boards so trying to work on them is a crap shoot. I have three 1119s and the chassis look about as much alike as 3 children with different fathers.

I don't mean to sound so down on them, they are nice monitors if you get a good chassis, but getting a good chassis is the trick. Chad at ArcadeCup will work on them, but it is cheaper to buy a new chassis than it is to have him fix the old one.

Good luck.

I've had my father (a tv repairman for 30 years, VERY good with things) looking at it today. He said that he hates to recommend a replacement, but they don't seem to be to "repair friendly".
With that being said, KenLayton provided me with a very helpful link. They will provide me a new chassis for $64.99, seems to be the way to go.

Update

Got the chassis in today. Picture is stretched.. I've adjusted every control I see on the aux control board.. can't get it to display the entire screen. Suggestions?

I would assume there might be a jumper wire to select width range "N" Narrower or "W" Wider on the monitor main board.

found that. Changed the jumper to N and still didnt change... any other suggestions?
