I need help in troubleshooting a Pentranic CH-288 (at least I think that's the model number as it's the only thing I could find on the board although it doesn't say model number by that) that's in an original Mars Matrix cabinet.

The image was always a little distorted and discolored but a little while ago one of the chips on the chassis fried and the monitor wouldn't power up. That was an LA7833 that I replaced. I also replaced a cap that had burst and a resistor that showed some burning near the circuit board.

After doing this the monitor powered up again but the image is even more distorted than before and I want to get a better idea of what's causing it before I yank the chassis out yet again. I've attached a picture of the current screen image - that's the best I could get it with using the adjustments board, it's very heavy on the Red. One thing on the board that stands out is a small circuit board(pictured) that is mounted on the metal next to the flyback, it looks like a color control but the coil is limp(it is not the only coil on the board BTW, there is another on the main part of the board which is the Horizontal Width coil right?) and I have to guess that the cap is bad as well. Could that little board be the source of my problems?

Thanks in advance
