Anyone have any info on this monitor? I couldn't find anything on it. Originally was in a Universal Space Panic. 100v monitor. Only markings on it are the "P.E.I.C." and the neckboard says "Universal". This is also a CR-25 neck.

The only thing I have been able to find on this is an overly blurry scan of the schematics in the Space Panic manual (pdf).

What monitor originally came with Mr Do! and other Universal games?

I've seen a few different Toei models.....and I've got some oddball thing here in the shop. It came out of a Cosmic Avenger. The only markings it has is NEC.

I don't know if it's the same as the one in mine but my Space Panic had the original monitor. It was a NEC monitor, Nippon Electric Co. LTD. Chassis # 2684A and no one had a listing for it. I had to make a list of all the caps on the board and sent the list to Zanen Electronics and they made me a custom cap kit for it. I use to have pictures of the chasses and the list of caps but it was all lost when my computer crashed years ago and I didn't have it backed up. The game is boxed in by a few other games so I cant look and see if it looks like yours and it was 10 years ago when I rebuilt the monitor. I did find 2 Space Panic schematics, one is listed as PEIC. I don't remember if either was the same as mine.
I had to resize them to upload to this site. If you need the bigger file, email me and I'll attach the larger file to an email.
Wish I could help more.

Hey thanks for posting those. I'll PM you my email address if you wouldn't mind sending me the bigger files.

Thanks!

Bumping an old one.

I have a PIEC monitor, and it needs a cap kit. Therefore, I got together with the wife, and we made the list.

This same PEIC monitor is in a Universal Magical Spot that I've got. It works but I haven't pulled it yet to clean up, etc. I'm thinking of doing some work on it and it would be great to have the files mentioned (so I sent a PM to Sam).

Dropbox pics of the game & monitor are here:

Was there ever any luck with the capping out of the monitor mentioned in this thread?

Thanks!

Bumping an old thread with some new information...

I just got a Space Panic, and it had this same PEIC monitor in it.

I've uploaded a few pics of the chassis to Dropbox.

I verified the caps that Robomayhem posted in this thread, and noticed a couple mistakes, which I am correcting below:
