Had rare time to kill today.
I picked up a Taito Big Event Golf board for free and was trying to figure out what to do with it. Nobody wants this game and if they do it is sells for like $20 working maybe. So research shows the parts on this board (two z80a's, sound chips, tons of eproms) are likely worth more than the pcb itself.
I started thinking about the other parts I have laying around. Those darn EMI cages usually come with a harness that can be re purposed to be one half of a jamma adapter for same type of board set (future testing). Like this Big Event Golf one. BTW, look at those copper winding's wacky.
Yokes from tubes that are done.
At the risk of furthering my hoarding, what chips, boards are sometimes worth more than fixing them. What unique parts or other interesting items have you used.
