Bear with me, I am about as new as it gets with all this arcade restoration stuff
I have a dual screen Playchoice I picked up at a yard sale in need of a little work, everything fires up ok, colors look great but:
it takes the top monitor 5 minutes or so to warm up and stop looking blurry, and it shows odd vertical bands of light and dark over the screen
the bottom screen has an odd scrolling effect on it thats hard to describe, its like a small faint band of dark scrolls up the screen and makes the screen shrink in a bit inward, the effect is very, veeeery light and is liveable if i can't fix it
I'm guessing some of the problem is because of the fact the previous owner busted off the ground pin on the power plug, since I've seen a similar effect on my TG-16 when I used an el cheapo knockoff adapter for it that had grounding issues as well
any thoughts? And I'll be posting pictures of the monitors later, don't have access to the cabinet at the moment
EDIT: Well crap, who's got 2 thumbs and didn't bother to look at the sticky 2 posts up titled "Sanyo 20EZV flowchart"? This guy, guess I need to find one of these fabled "cap kits", still need to take care of the bottom monitor though
