So there's a tricky issue I'm trying to work through. I have a Wells-Gardner K7191 25'' monitor that I got with a cabinet I bought. I'm wondering if it's possible to hook a PC up to it and run MAME on it. (you can remove your hand from your forehead now)

Here's what I've done so far. I've wired in the RGB -H sync and -V sync. Then using an Nvidia card I've got a program called "Powerstrip" which modifies the driver so the card will output any formatting and frequencies you want. I've had mild success with this but I'm having issues getting it usable. Let me explain.

I have the signal outputting at 15kHz horizontal, 60 Hz vertical both negative. However the signal that shows up on the monitor is not correct. It's semi-scrambled and is rolling upwards rapidly, but I can make out text from the PC desktop.

Has anyone ever gotten this to work? Online I can find some posts of people trying this and some claiming that it works but never any instructions of HOW and what settings they gave Powerstrip. The fact that I can see icons and text makes me feel like this should be possible.

Here is the service manual for my monitor (25'' version)

It has some of the stats I need and some I don't really understand aren't there like "front porch" and "back porch".

I can provide pictures, video, whatever. It would be amazing to have MAME run on an actual arcade monitor.

Oh my god thanks a lot. I messed around with Soft - 15kHz and I was able to get it working! The screen needs a bit of adjusting but I can use it!

Fantastic!
