PC Repair Program Suggestions?

I wonder if you could get the free download of Windows 7 that Microsoft put out? Should be available somewhere, like a torrent, but I don't know if it would still be active or not.

I might have a 32 bit copy of Windows 7 around here someplace with a good key, that I've never used. I believe that I installed the 64 bit on both my desktop and laptop.

I can't find the key at the moment but I can burn a copy of Windows 7 for ya and I can hunt for the key.

Thanks for the offer. I'm heading into work tonite, going to ask a few friends if they have a copy I can have or if they have any suggestions on how to fix this problem. If nothing comes of it, I'll let ya know.

I run vista with no problems.I go to control panel,,performance info,,adjust visual effects and click adjust for best performance..It takes away all the horsepower robbing neat visuals and makes it look like xp pretty much. Also i gave up on internet explorer and have been using firefox with much better speed.I run ccleaner about once a week and use AVG antivirus free edition.
If you restored your computer from a recovery partition i'm sure you have alot of programs installed that you don't want or need, not to mention how many of these are running in the background.I agree, run msconfig,go to startup and kill everything that isn't important to you. Also go to programs and features in control panel and uninstall all the packaged stuff that came with your pc that you dont want, yes a fresh install is easier, but for lack of a disk this works.
I had an eval copy of win 7 when it came out and it was great ,someday i will bite the bullet and purchase it.
