Well, I got this thing as a basket case. Now it's starting to look a lot better. Two working monitors installed, but I need to replace the missing speakers. I have a switcher hooked up to get the board power, and it's now a (mostly) working PunchOut!. It seems my dual monitor PC-10 board didn't want to work, so I seee how this project may be going....

Speakers in, but they are the wrong ones and sound like crap. Left punch button switch replaced, so it works. Joystick needs to be replaced, but I ahve several (jsut need to do it). I love Punchout, but I'm not sure how much :p

Punch Out! is definitely a game worth fixing up. I love the blow by blow comentary. What I do not like is how the second monitor makes the thing top heavy. Not your typical Nintendo cabinet but a great game.

I agree it's a great game, just not sure it's the project for me. I got the cab to use it as a PC-10. I'm very torn.......getting a new PC-10 board is cheaper than getting the Punchout marquee, CPO, and side art.

Got some parts in the other day. Now I have correct speakers and sounds better....or it did until I hung a wire and ripped the speaker wires off the upper monitor amp. Gotta solder those back later. Monitor surrounds now installed, lower coin vault door installed, marquee switched out (although cracked, it's Punchout! instead of Playchoice now). Pic later

I think I'm going to quit while I'm ahead and sell this thing, along with the extra Punchout! boards and PC-10 board.

I'm having a hard time selling mine for $400 localy, I think I'm giving it away at that price but no one seems interested :(

$400 for a nice working Punchout is a great price, I don't think that would last long if it were up for sale in Fl. -we're pretty much dried up for classics for sale here.
