Boy did that bring me back. My 2 year old son wanted me to fire up the PC-10 for him this morning. Why? Because he loves Kung Fu. Doesn't get the concept, just likes the music and the graphics. After he was tired of it, I stepped up and fired up a game for myself. "kick 1, kick 2, punch 3, kick-kick-kick 4-5-6, punch 7 and so on all the way to jump kick 12. 5000 pts!! Man that 3 minutes of playing the first 2 levels really brought me back. I think that's why I love my PC-10 so much. I can fire up many of the NES classics on an arcade machine and be brought directly back to 1986, sitting in front of my friend Jon's 25 inch console TV playing his NES while downing a 6 pak of Coke Classic. Good times.

Agreed. My 5 year old nephew likes the game where you "kick the girls in the face". Meaning Kung Fu Master of course.

I enjoy it thoroughly as well. I remember playing it often in the boardwalk arcade along with Zoo Keeper, Sinistar and Q*Bert for hours back in 1985 or so. Nothing like an open air arcade on the beachfront, as long as I don't own the games.

That reminds me of the final few scenes in the movie Big, when all those machines are outdoors, spread around a courtyard about 50 feet apart. What a strange arcade layout.

As does plugging your NES in.

Im just jealous I dont live in a mansion with unlimited space for upright NES cabs.

I like playing them in the PC-10 cuz there aren't all those god damned controller and AV wires all about.

NES, 30-50 carts and a TV = messy.
PC-10 (single monitor) = neat.

Awesome. I recommend Kung Fu and MT Punchout as your first carts. They WILL bring you back.

He emailed me the games list that I will be getting and I think Kung-Fu is included. The others in the list IIRC are SMB, Baseball, Rygar, Dr. Mario, Pro Wrestling and Rush 'n Attack.

I just picked up a PC-10 last night and had to have Kung Fu installed on it. The sound effects rock! Quickly becoming one of my favorite cabs!

Agreed. I really thought about picking up an NES a few months ago, but where to put it? How to make it not look "messy"?? Will it look good on an LCD TV?? Etc.????

Glad you are liking it. The PC-10 is in a good home. And, Kung Fu is my favorite PC-10 game, hands down. There is nothing like playing it on the pc-10 with those controls. It rocks.

Great minds think alike. Welcome to my thread Dr. Hotcakes.

Have you never played Kung Fu Master? KFM > Kung Fu

Not if your fond memories are of playing Kung Fu on the NES. It's not about which is the superior game Jow, it's about nostalgia. Someday you'll understand. Until then, I pity you.
