Pawn Stars Pinball Machine

Ill be watching it when it comes on in this time zone. Right now I just watched those guys who go through this old guys multiple garages and they refused to buy 2 pinballs, a Bally Jungle King and a Williams Post(something). The guy commenting on them was a fat idiot.

Happening now. They were concerned because it was in two pieces. :)
A Bally 'Odds and Evens'.

Cool.

I just watched this.. They paid $1000.00 for a 1976 Odd and Evens that did not work..

I am going to buy as many $200 em machines as I can and drive to vegas... I can make a fortune.... The best part was that the guy who came in to give an estimate on how much to restore said between $2500 and $3000.00

This is crazy...

Chris

I love that show, the guy always seems to "know someone" when it comes to everything.

Them paying that much for a non-working machine seems so unlike the guy, based on what I saw watching previous episodes, he tries to lowball everyone. I have a feeling this will be bad for him, he always tries to break even after doing extensive repairs, and then has a hard time selling them. For the $4000 he's probably going to sell it for, it better be a really good restoration.

I will be watching it a little later when I get a chance, I have it set to record on my DVR.

The other show, American Pickers, they bother me. I like the show but the guys are annoying. They really should have picked them up but instead they were too interested in metal signs.

True, he does seem to have lots of friends. His laugh cracks me up!

I showed these once a while back - not sure who saw them or whatever... My wife and I just visited their shop in October...

That is my best friends neighbor, those pinballs will be mine. Been there but had no idea he had them in there.

BTW I really liked the comment the fat idiot made. Loosely quoted "there are some solenoids missing, they are a thousand apiece to buy them and there is 80 of them in there."

ummmmm wouldn't that make the 70 that ain't missing worth $70,000?
Freaking morons.

Which episode is this? I can't find it. Are you talking about Pawn Stars or Pickers?

they were also paying 100$ for shitty atari 2600s, its obvious the show is staged and scripted, which i usually dont have a problem with, but this is on the history channel so they could at least try to be semi accurate with their values.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he said $100 per solenoid.

When I get around to listing the LW3 pinball for sale, I'll be sure to point out this ep of Pawn Stars as a reference.

"These things are picked up by pawn shops for $1000's in broken condition!!!"

Saw this one last night and couldn't believe the price they paid for it. I'm not into pins but I find it hard to believe a non-working EM pin is worth that much especially for what seems like a generic game with no movie or tv theme. The guy that restored it for them then said they could get up to 5000 for it IIRC. I'd be curious what he'd price a pin like Adams Family or Twilight Zone at. If things really sell that much higher in Vegas time to load up the truck and head south lol.

Also saw the American Pickers ep with the 2 pins in the barn. I don't recall what the one guy said about solenoid prices, but hell if he would have low balled him like 50 bucks or something they'd certainly be worth that in parts unless they were completely trashed.

Cool pics! I'm hoping to head to Vegas either in July or November (maybe both) and plan to visit the shop to see it in person.
