I've had a craving for a new pickup but not alot of time lately with non-arcade projects, so I haven't been looking too hard. About a month ago I was thinking that I needed a Williams title and a color vector to round out the lineup. Got lucky and got both in one pickup.

These were In a pawnshop about 1.5 hours from me. They listed them on Facebook market place for $200 each. The defender just boots to a rug pattern and tempest was missing the marque, and needs the fuse holder swapped out. Will need to get Andy's guide out before I fire it up but even if I have board work to do on both of them I'm still very happy with the condition. I've owned a tempest and a couple of defenders in the past and regretted getting rid of them. These will be staying with me.

I love property tags and license stickers.

Wowzers, nice pawning. :)
Without interior pics, I assume they're both complete - and most importantly, the Tempest has boards and a real vector monitor.

Money well spent there for two golden classics.

FB still sucks though. LOL

I also dig property/license stickers. Shows that there is some history behind the machines. From what I've seen people like to rip them off though. Shame! Can tear the vinyl too

Solid scores. Post here if you need help with the Tempest.

Thanks!! And especially thanks for sharing your write-up,. it took a lot of time to put that together tand 's gonna come in handy.with trouble shooting and getting this thing back in the game.

Nice score!

Time to put those new tools to work getting those games working!

Glad you got them and the guy didn't back out. :)

No kidding, good thing Andy offered to help for free and provided the vector monitor guide that OP mentioned. Such a good guy.

@newsheriffintown

Do you need the marquee for the Tempest?
I believe I have one sitting in my garage that is a spare, complete and original mounted on the wood brackets etc.
I'll be on the road for work until next Monday, but I can check next week when I get back home.

Please put my name on it if you have one. I've got some pictures and was going to try to build one, but an original is what I'd prefer to have. Let me know, I'll take it if it don't break the bank

Sure, you can have it.
I'll dig it out when I get home next week.
It is original and actually in pretty nice shape.

No, that's a different spell. (And you don't want to invoke that one...).

Are there really people here who still don't know about my 6100 doc?

https://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=404600

My Gravitar has been ready to go through that guide (recapped 6100, etc etc.. no idea of working status of things) for like a year. I know the boardset is good tho.

I think I'll make a thread about it when I do.
