Pat9000 cost

does it have the 2 monitors? does it work? Price is going to be all over the place on that one. Without more info I would guess $500-$1500+

$3500.00

With both monitors and 100% working with plugs it is worth around $3500.

Last one on ebay that was untested went for that much. Now plenty of ppl will argue and lowball but $2800-$3700 is the true value no matter what they say. These are rare and very collectible units. I am interested in buying the unit complete or in parts if you are selling it. Please contact me with pictures and information.

I would love to see some pictures of this unit working.
Are you selling or buying?

The value is in the fact it was made in limited numbers by Atari for operators and repair centers only. One made by someone else would just be a super gun and have no collectible value. The 13" amplifone color vector monitor was also sold ONLY with this test unit and nothing else. To find one of these working with both monitors and 15 or so plugs as the OP states is rare. That is another reason I would really like to see pictures posted of the unit in action.

Here's some pictures with a Tempest board I'm working on.

And some with a Liberator. The Blue Drive is up to much, but it's a pain to pull the monitor out to adjust. Plus it probably really needs a cap kit. Haven't done that yet.

Also here's a shot of the plugs, I haven't had a chance to go through them all yet.

The ones I have gone through are
Asteroids
Asteroids Deluxe
Tempest
Liberator
BattleZone
Red Baron
Gravitar
Millipede
Centipede
Warlords
StarWars
Food Fight

Very Nice!

Cleanest one I have ever seen. Looks like everything is intact and working good also. I have owned 3 of these and seen a few others and none are this nice. Thanks for posting some pics.

very nice. I don't see any red in the liberator. But thats an easy fix.. Nice score.

Not sure if your keeping or selling, but either way, your going to do ok on that one..

Very Nice indeed! I saw it sitting on your bench in the coffee maker thread, but didn't want to hijack for some PAT 9000 props. :D

any of you pat9000 guys fix liberator pcbs? I have two that don't work and since they are a tad rare, I didn't want to tackle them myself. I am interested in having them both fixed/exchanged or even doing a 2 for 1 trade.

sorry about being off topic, but its hard to look at a working liberator pcb in this thread when I own three dead pcbs!!

There's nothing special about liberator...
They're a little trickier to fix than centipede/millipede since they're DRAM based, but anyone's who worked on Missile Command or the uber-annoying Cloak & Dagger should be able to fix it...

First step is to replace all the crappy 4116s with 4164s :)

a 13" amplifone has got to be the coolest vector monitor ever. Part it out and make a mini cab with a zvg.

Just kidding folks.
