Was looking into testing out Moon Patrol boards. I came across a Moon Patrol to Jamma adapter on Ebay. After it arrived I pulled a good working MP board and hooked it up. Everything appeared to work correctly except there was no audio.I've metered and checked the pinouts of the MP adapter. Should be MP's P 13 to Jamma's L 10.
Put the board back in the cabinet and the audio is just fine.
Now I know that my Pat + Jamma harness works fine as I've tested it with Smash TV and a Jamma Top Gunner.
I was considering picking up a Donkey Kong jamma connector from Mikesarcade however it has an audio amp on it as well as video adjusts.
Is there an issue with some Jamma boards and audio output?
Not sure what's going on with this MP Jamma adapter.

here is a short thread about this issue

Ok, I read that and it was pretty - uhm not very informative. 'Next connector'?

Should be MP's P 13 to Jamma's L 10.
P and 13 are two different terminals. One will be speaker + and the other speaker negative. Since jamma hooks one side of the speaker to ground, you'd only hook one side of the speaker terminal - either p or 13 to the jamma speaker + terminal.
Tying P and 13 together will just cancel each other out, and you'll get no sound.

Not tied together. It would go P on the MP side to L of the Jamma and 13 on the MP side to 10 of the Jamma wouldn't it?

weird. What i get from going from memory. I'd check and make sure one side of the jamma speaker connection on the adapter isn't shorted to ground. If its not, what you posted should work.
