The beast in my avatar, aka Audrey, is turning 2 next Saturday, and wifey has huge party planned. There will be probably 30 monsters from daycare, little gym, and church running around my arcade. I should be there most of the time to monitor, but it will be crazy I'm sure. my Paragon was a concours delegance restoration, and is my Grail, so I'm thinking of just covering it up, but the others are "expendable"!!!!!!!! My wife and a few other regulars know how to shut all games down via wall switches, if for some reason something started smoking or something. I just did that Rustoleum Epoxy with color flakes on the floor, it looks great, very heavy duty.

Most of my games have an attract mode music option, should I turn them all on? Or would that be overkill? We usually only have the Maverick music on..... Just wondering, thought it might be cool to have all their music on....opinion???

Don't allow food and especially drinks around the games. Beyond that, I don't think a bunch of little kids could really harm the games with their bare hands :)

Turn them all on and enjoy!

I agree. I'd definitely have all the attract sounds on. I always keep the attract mode on.

I would agree in keeping your grail machine covered if you are concerned. I'd assume some of the kids will be older than your 2 year old and probably want to play. With kids and pinball it's all about hitting the flipper buttons as fast as they can so that's why I'd agree with covering up your grail machine. I love to have people enjoy the games, but with kids, I make sure they aren't trying to hang from a steering wheel or pull a joystick as hard as they possibly can.

In my opinion... You shouldn't have a party with 30 kids in your house. Next year shoot for 5. :)

We did one huge party for my first kids 2nd birthday and it was the last huge party we've done. Since then they have been able to invite the same number of kids as the age they are turning.

Oh, back to the original question. Keep food and drink away from the games and they should be fine.

Those games were made to be on location, abused by kids and adults from all ages. I would not be worried. Also the kids will be 2-3 years old.. they wont even reach the control panel

When my son was 3, the only thing he wanted to do was pull the joysticks back and forth really hard for about 2 1/2 minutes and then lost interest.

They are too young to really do much, they will push buttons and run around. When they leave you will have every game playing with no one in front of it. No drinks, I would cover my paragon. I personally cannot handle that many, I think you have to be licensed to have that many tikes runnin around!

What has been said already is true. They'll pull on the joysticks, hit credit switches, if you have them, leave games playing by themselves, etc...

If you have music such as a jukebox, they'll like that and dance around and leave the games pretty much alone.

Be sure all of the coin doors are locked and do not open - little hands will find their way into the game if the coin door opens.

Good luck and have fun!

OMG dude - I feel sooooooo bad for you. Unfortunately most of our friends have kids that are complete little shits and the parents pretty much assume my gameroom is a day care. They drop the kids in there and walk away. I finally had enough of that crap (after multiple instances of damage and blatant disrespect) and literally had to tell each set of parents, "Your kids are NOT allowed into my gameroom unless they are accompanied by you or another adult."
Granted I think most kids are too young to give a crap about your machines so you should be ok. However I would bet the parents would love to game it up!

I would make sure all coin doors are locked, kids always seem to try and look inside machines for some reason and I would be worried about someone getting shocked.
