Hello,

I've been asked to try and compile a list of games to play at a corporate party. Nothing too involved (no tournaments or anything) - just some games to have available for people to play. I'll take suggestions for all 3 current gen systems. Rock Band/DDR are out, as there will be a DJ, so we won't be able to rely on the audio of the game. Again, I'm looking for 'pick up & play' type of games.

So far, there will be a Wii, with:

Wii Play
Wii Sports
Mario Kart
Punch-Out
Wii Sports Resort

Please let me know some fun games...PS Move, Kinect...include whatever is fun to play.

Thanks.

Did u really leave out mario party

Thanks. I'll put that on my list.

I'm sure I left out tons of games. The games listed come with the Wii rental for the party (along with TV's, controllers, etc), so I listed them. Any additional games would be provided by us.

I should add that I'll listen to Virtual Console (or equivalent) suggestions, as well. I'm sure Tetris on the VC would be good in a group...any others?

This was one of my favorites:

Up to 10 players! It is insane.

Guardian Heroes also has a 6-player battle mode that is a lot of fun. Very Smash Bros.-like but without all the power-ups or elaborate levels.

I need current gen. But yes, Bomberman for Saturn rocked.

Mario Party is really slow... the mini games are alright, but the rolling/moving around the board really makes the game slow down.

Some trivia type game like the following would be good to have.
Trivial Pursuit (all)
Buzz (PS3)
Scene It (X360)

With Buzz if you have the PS3 controllers (wireless) and the PS2 controllers (wired) you can actually get 8 people to play at once.

I believe that Bomberman is also on Xbox Live and PSN.

Mario Party is too slow as was already said. It's not bad, but a single game can take forever :p Not to mention the more recent ones really haven't been very good...or maybe I'm just tired of that crap, who knows.

What about Castle Crashers (360 and PS3) or Scott Pilgrim? Good old school style beat-em-ups. There's also some old coin-op remakes like TMNT. There's also Fat Princess for PS3. And don't forget Tetris Party on WiiWare.

If Mario Kart gets old, there's also ModNation Racers on PS3...though Kart is better...And Little Big Planet I guess.

Obviously plenty more out there, but I guess it really depends on what you're looking for. Most of the third party party games for Wii suck. Well actually, the Raving Rabbids games weren't too bad. I think I have the first two of them.

I'm looking for games that non-gamers can pick up & play and have some fun.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Non gamers.....wii fit

Hey...
I have "non-gamers" over regularly. They spend a little time with my full arcade games (I now have 7 and 2 multis). But quickly move on....

Real pinball machines are a huge hit - I have 2 and a baby pac that are always played.

Wii and wii fit are really the crowd favorites.

Wii party games are a blast - and just about anyone can pick up and play.
pingpong
darts
volleyball
jetsking
boxing
even a crazy frizbee game for golf (3 holes) and even a target event.
(baseball, bowling, etc take a lot of time)

Wii fit:
hoola hoop - chicks love it
balancing
etc...

Good luck - have fun....

Which is what I figured and why I didn't list some of the other stuff I thought of. I'd wager Wii Play and both the Wii Sports games will be the highlights.

Super Monkey Ball on the Gamecube or Xbox. Great four player games.

Fusion Frenzy, Xbox. Still lots of fun for four.

South Park, Chef's Luv Shack on the Dreamcast. Used to play this one all the time. If you haven't tried it, three words.......Cartman, anal, and probe. :)
