Anyone know of another supplier that has the inventory that Marco has? I need a small coil and a little switch, but I am not going to pay $10 to ship those two parts on top of his high prices.

I know that their shipping is high. Especially last week, when I spent $15 for shipping and everything came in a $4.95 small flat rate box. ADD $10 PROFIT to Marco... Oh well at least they have the parts I need!!!

Not sure how close these guys are to you but I think $10 shipping is pretty much common.

Have you ever tried dealing with these idiots? They are about an hour from me and I have tried numerous times to deal with them. The women that answers the phone has no clue about anything, has no idea what parts they have, and wants the customer to do all the work to tell her what is what.

At least with marco, terry, and almost everyone else you give them a part number and they can figure out what it is. I sent her an email with parts numbers and her response was: You will have to go to the website to see what you need because I don't know what any of that is. Plus they are more expensive on most of their stuff so I will deal with marco first.

Then quit your bitching and pay the $10. Be thankful you can get the parts at all.

Yes - the woman isn't very savvy on the business side. You need to simply ask for the parts department or service department. I pay through the ass locally if I'm impatient and need a part ASAP. Marcos shipping rates are sporadic and out of control I agree.

They have one of those?

Have you ever called marco for small orders? I've had a couple of things that were just a few bucks and they lowered the shipping for it. The website has min shipping but if you talk to them they will ship in a padded envelope and just charge a couple of bucks.
Bay Area is also good for just a few things, great selection and better shipping for small orders:

Sporadic is not a proper adjective for shipping rates.

Oh- I can drive over to Lexington and pick up your parts and slap them in a small box and send them your way if you'd like.

I think I would charge $10 for the effort though-

If I DO make my way over there soon, I'd make the honest offer.

I'm with Lindsey, being up in Canada, Marco Spec wants 35$ to ship 2 pop bumper caps.

I phoned them up, and they said they'd do the bubble envelop, and also explained that the costs on their site are just rough estimates, and will charge less if the shipping is less.

10$ is great shipping, IMO

I haven't seen anyone mention Pinball Resource. So I will. Dealt with them first time last Friday. Talked to Steve Young the owner. Very very helpful, knew what he was talking about(heck, been in business since 1977, should know) and the stuff I ordered arrived the next day. Shipping was kind of steep but what you gonna do. I'm very pleased with them and they list a ton of stuff! They seem to be heavy on Gottlieb but has plenty of other stuff!
Oh and I have no affiliation with them.

pbresource, pinballlife, bayareaamusements, and Marco have equally good customer service.

Marco is almost always the highest priced, but they have some parts that no one else has. Lowest price for coils is pbresource. Lowest overall is pinballlife. When I order parts, I usually end up ordering from at least two vendors just to minimize the price I pay.
