I just received my arcadeshop DK harness and before I plug it in, I just want to double check with you guys....the harness connector has a label taped to one side of it labeled "parts side"...Is that the side that faces 'down' or 'in' or 'facing' the board when plugged into the board? Thanks!

parts side

Correct it is the side with the components on it. THe other side is the solder side which typically looks like a bunch of solder dots.

I have only seen 1 exception to this rule where the 'parts side was actually the solder side': It was on a Golden Tee board and it is definitely NOT a standard. Someday I will have to post a pic.

Those are two separate boards :)

If you take one board by itself one side is the solder side and the other the parts side.

OK. So 'parts side' on the harness connector faces up or out?

If you are looking at the side of the board with components (i.e. chip, ROMs, capacitors, etc) on it then you should also see the label saying "component side" when the harness is plugged in.

Is this just a factory style DK harness or what ?

Do you have the ribbon cable to jump from one board to the other ?

yep, factory style harness from arcadeshop

Board was tested working before I bought it...Ribbon cables are in place...

Arcadeshop sells a Nintendo harness? I just looked and I dont; see anything but a Nintendo power kit not a wiring harness:

White screen means you have no signal from your board to the monitor. These boards can either use the edge connector or wiring harness for power. If you are using the edge connector then you need a rainbow cable to provide power to both boards.
Take a picture of the guts and post them. It'll be way easier to help

I'll take pics tonight if I can...Monitor turns white when I turn the board power on...

Here's the wiring harness/power supply I'm using...

You should have a short "rainbow" harness that goes from the P12 on the CPU board over to the P4 on the Video board.

Power comes in on the edge harness at the CPU board ----->out P12----->into P4 on the video board to give the video board power.

(someone please correct me if I have the locations mixed up)
