Parting out a Dragon's Lair on eBay, here are the bits (No reserve, $.01 starting bid... let the market decide!)

Marquee http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=180549805617
Score board http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=180549806954
Control Panel http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=180549807959
Coin door http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=180549808823
Wiring harness http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=170529636739
PCB + LD Adapter http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=170529637703
Power Supply http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=170529637972

Everything appeared to be working properly before parting the game out (the cabinet and LD player were crushed) we will cheerfully refund your purchase if you are unsatisfied for any reason once we receive the part back.

Parting out

This lot went for double what I thought it would, there are some motivated collectors in the world!

Here is the summary, these were all $.01 start, no reserve auctions:
Marquee, 27 watchers, 15 bids, $207.63
Scoreboard, 23 watchers, 16 bids, $106.06
Control Panel, 28 watchers, 16 bids, $157.84
Coin door, 23 watchers, 7 bids, $71.00 (WTF??)
Wiring harness, 19 watchers, 12 bids, $178.49
PCB + laser adapter, 27 watchers, 25 bids, $255.00 (this is the only one that sold for what I expected it to)
Power supply, 18 watchers, 6 bids, $134.49

And yes, one very motivated person did wind up winning all of the auctions, I suspect that is why it ran so high.

I wonder what other parts I have scattered around the shop… <grin>

Over $200 for a marquee? Wtf? Something just seems odd about that.Could have bought a fully working DL in great shape for what all these parts went for.I'm guessing these may have been won by a foreign buyer.

It's not the marquee that drove up the price, it's the marquee brackets that are hard to get.

which is fucking crazy.. i offered to make them at 50.00 a set, and i had ONE guy get ahold of me.

and im buying a converted dl cab for 50.00

coin door, marque brackets,

cp, not sure if dl overlay is underneath yet

coin box

no actual dl game there, long gone but seeing these parts went that high,

1. no way i can get the parts to restore

2. maybe i should part it?
