was a donky kong. the game turns on but after a few minutes the monitor cuts out. I don't know if the problem is the monitor or the power supply. I assume it's one of those but don't know much about nintendo cabs. anyway I'm just checking interest in any of the parts. I'm keeping the super mario vs pcb so anything else inside the cab is for sale. if you are local to Richmond, VA you can come get it all. I'm just selling the monitor and all the stuff inside the cab. I'm keeping the cabinet/control panel etc.

will consider trades for working jamma boards or any console video game stuff.

vs. cabinet

How much for the complete wiring harness?
what do you need to trade?
thanks,Tom.

anyone interested just send me an offer for all the parts you want.

I'm not selling anything exterior, in other words, I'm keeping the cabinet, CP, marquee, buttons. pretty much everything else i'll sell.

i'm planning on turning it into a NES cab by mounting a 19" tv in there and hooking up the controls to hacked NES pads. there is a site that sells some VS nintendo carts and I'm thinking i won't even really know the difference. plus i'll be able to toss contra, double dragon, or whatever else in the cabinet.

with playchoice i'd still be dealing with arcade hardware and an arcade monitor. both of which tend to fail it seems. playchoice games are more expensive than nes carts right? and the nes library is a lot bigger than the playchoice library? and i can play the VS games that a cart has been made for with a nes. it just seems that the upside is huge to putting a nes and a tv in there.

the only downside I see is the video quality is not going to be as good going rca to a tv as going rgb to an arcade monitor. but i'm hoping it isn't that big a difference.

Sanyo EZ monitors are way better than some TV. Yeah, they usually need some work after 30 years of action but once you get them recapped they're usually great and trouble free.

You're probably just getting some shutdown which could be as simple as adjusting the B+ or horizontal hold pot.

ok i read what you guys said but thought you said "B-" instead of B+. so i played with that and horizontal hold, I think. anyway I had the machine on for hours and played the thing a few times with no problem. the only other thing I did with the machine off is check out the fuse then put it back. this is voodoo to me. the only other thing i might have done differently is at first I had the game on a surge protector and had the switch on the machine always on, so I could just flip the surge protector on to turn it on. i had it like that when it first failed. then I unplugged it from that and plugged it into the wall and that's when it would stay on for a few minutes then the monitor would turn off.

since then i've been turning it on and off with the switch on the back of the cabinet.

since it had problems I have checked the fuse, twisted B- and horizontal hold (i think it might have been vertical actually) and it worked for hours after that. ok there is one last thing. I had the machine against the wall when it was failing. then i pulled it from the wall when I did all this stuff. maybe the back cover was pressing up against the back of the monitor ever so slightly and that was causing my problem. or maybe how the power cord was being pressed against the wall was causing some problem with where it goes into the cab.

this is voodoo shit. guess I can see what happens tomorrow.
