Now to replace this hideous base and finish pounding the T-molding in place. That *should* be tonight. Progression pics:

What Vs game are you going to dedicate to it? Curious. I've never used pica vinyl. Are you leaving the cab the Punch Out/Playchoice black or is it going back to the original gray?

BTW: You have some serious wood-working skills, my friend! Always a pleasure to see the restorations.

Re-scanned the thread and didn't see what vinyl you used and where you got it.

Excellent work as usual - BTW.

Why would I put this beautiful black vinyl on the cabinet (even calling it 'finished') and then go back the original grey? Are you OK?

Hey, how thick is that stuff; reason I ask is will you have to use thicker t-molding and chisel trim?

Is the picture not showing up for you? It's a thicker vinyl but it doesn't really add any discernible width to the edge. This is offset T-molding and wasn't trimmed.

oh ok, makes sense.
yea, sorry I'm at work so all the pics are blocked.

thanks!

Looks very good Phet, the bottom base is coming appart like some of the Nintendo cabs i have. Do you just putty those up and sand it down? Or do you replace the entire base?

Now you know Phet loves him some NOS parts.
