The other day at work, I sliced the palm of my right hand near my index finger. Ended up with stitches. Makes it hard to work or type or generally live life. The worst part is that its harder to play my games. At this point I can only play Pac and Ms. Pac and I am not very good left handed. Rather frustrating. Just thought I would share.

Reminds me of this joke...

A guy gets into an accident and gets his finger cut off. He calls his wife from the hospital...

"Honey, there's been an accident at work today. My finger got cut off"

"The whole finger?!?!" she asked

"No", he said... "The one next to it"

:p

That's bad when you cut yourself and there's no funny story behind it. Hope it heals better than Frizz's leg!

There is a funny story behind it, I just failed to mention it. This happens to occur when my inlaws are visiting from out of state. My mother in law is an RN. So naturally, she has to look at the 1 1/2" long 3/8" deep cut. I didn't think that it needed stitches but she patches it up and proceeds to convince me that I should go to the hosptial. I started feeling woozy and she sits me down, after which I fall down and am out for the count. 1.5 minutes later, I wake up with my wife, her mother and her step dad all up in my face yelling at me. I don't remember this part but apparently, I was trying to punch them repeatedly. Had to take their word for that. Got a nice little hospital trip out of it and liquid stitches which keep coming out and I have to patch with super glue. Yeah, fun, huh?

well, i'm sure you'll be ready to rock the pac in a week or so. but remember, when you get deep cuts, electrical tape is your best friend. i just pour rubbing alcohol on the site, then tape it up nice and tight. learned that 11 years ago when i shot two 12d nails through my right hand.

Thats a tough spot to be cut... I sliced my palm with a stainless steel strap. Felt like it took forever to heal.

The left handed comment makes me wonder how you play most games, including your Raiden. Isn't that set up with the stick on the left and buttons on the right?

Be thankful you at least have Pac-man to play. Reminds me of when I sliced my thumb while I was doing something stupid with my Toobin' t-molding. It took a few weeks to heal...now I am a little more careful. At least you weren't working on a G07 and had the large gray cap discharge into your hand. That almost happen to me...

bummer man.. i have elbow surgery thursday, i am gonna be totally incapacitated!

I'm stuck in bed with 1 titanium rod, 5 screws, and dozens of staples holding my lower leg together.
All my games are downstairs.

But at least I have oxycodone!

I had a wayward ratchet strap pinch a small chunk out of my thumb a couple weeks ago. You never realize how much you use your thumb until you experience something like that.

Normally, I play Pac/Ms. Pac with my right hand. For Raiden, Tetris and Super Pac, I use left for the stick and right for the button(s). I played some Tetris earlier using my right thumb for the button. That worked ok. Probably not so much for Raiden. Super Pac is cocktail, so that might be akward with a small CP. Its not so bad though, no pins in my leg or painkillers.

That DID happen to me. Unpleasant but was over quickly compared to being cut.
