so I got an LED button to install into one of my machines. only problem is I don't know how to hook up the LED light. what wires to use or what I need.

The two spade connectors that are vertical (not part of the switch) should be connected to +12v and ground. Polarity doesn't matter, it has circuitry to auto handle polarity.

Just hook up a GND connection to one connector and +12v to the other connector. If it doesn't light up, reverse the wires and your all set.

Sorry, it has a blocking diode so you can't mess it up.

Right, but if you wire and hook several of them up before powering any of them up, you could be in for an unpleasant surprise when only 1 out of 10 are actually lit. I usually use spade connectors and crimp the receiving ends so they go onto the micro tabs nice and tight. Once they're on, they are a bitch to get back off. If you solder all connections, even more work.

Yah I hate that shit. That is why I do everything 1 at a time.

Simply check the continuity with a multimeter. If there's a blocking diode, you'll have continuity with the probes connected the correct way and no continuity with them in reverse.

Even without a blocking diode, LEDs are diodes and a continuity test would work because there is so little current it would not hurt a un-protected LED.

...and all this ASSUMES that you have 12V DC LED's! Most of Paradise stuff is 12V, 5V is usually a special order but they sell both. Good luck!

They've always sent me 12v. (I never specified when ordering) but I'll say the lamp socket is loose fitting, I always tighten up the tabs in socket otherwise I'll get few lite in the set up
