Getting a bunch of garbage on the screen at power up, mostly repeating A's and G's. In test mode I get:

I pulled, cleaned, and re-socketed the chip I'm pointing to and the one to the left of it, with same results. Does this indicate that I need to replace the chip(s)? I've never had to replace one before, what sources are out there for replacements?

I picked up some 6116's from a local electronics parts wholesaler and replaced all of them in the Paperboy I did. It fixed the similar problems I was having...

Thanks! Is 6116 a general type of chip and I need to supply the exact number on these chips or can I just go to the store and ask for a couple 6116's?
