I don't believe this to be a monitor issue is why I put it in this section of the forums.

I have/had this same issue with both paperboys that were in my possession.

Here is what is happening.
The score of player one is barely on the screen. I took a couple of other pictures to show how the into screen was similar. Meaning that there is no blue border around the left side of that screen like there is on the other 3 sides.

Now I can adjust the monitor to the right and get the entire screen to move, but it just simply moves the screen as it sits now, it does not reveal any additional screen.

Quick recap:
I found the above facts to show themselves with a recapped k4900, a recapped disco, and an lcd monitor. This was tested on 2 different machines with completely different boards.

It's almost like a sync issue, or like the fuzz on the right side of all trons?

The Atari System II boards put out a higher resolution signal than the 'standard' boards.

So, your LCD monitor must be able to sync to this higher frequency to display the full image.

this issue is virtually irrelevant of the lcd monitor, it just happens to occur with it as well.
Same exact problem with the k4900 and disco (both med res)

Anyone.....

....else know what may cause this strange phenomenon?

Tron Guy recently rebuilt my monitor, and did a fantastic job by the way (BIG thumbs up).

Image is clear and bright, just for whatever reason the right side of the screen has about a 1/4" to 1/2" wave that comes and goes. I'm very happy to have my Paperboy finally working and can live with this little oddity, but just curious what may be caused from. It seems pretty random, but really jumps out when the screen changes between levels.

I tried to take some pictures yesterday evening, but noticed my camera phone didn't want to show the screen. It kept on flickering and showing scrolling black lines (but doesn't do that on my other low res games).

The pictures aren't the best, but hopefully demonstrate what I'm talking about. I'm guessing this is because of the medium res screen refresh rate?

I have a few screen shots below for reference:

1st picture, just an overall cabinet shot happy to be back in the lineup:

2nd picture, you can see the blue vertical section to the left of the main newspaper screen. I have centered the image on the monitor as close as possible, but you can see the right side should have a blue vertical section that is cut off:

3rd picture, hard to see but the right side is cutting in showing more black area to the right. It might look kind of the same on the left, but in real life looks pretty normal:

4th & 5th pictures, kind of a side by side comparison of what is happening:

Any ideas of what could cause this?
