paperboy: how to remove the handlebar assemblies from the axle???
my paperboy controls will get the full makeover (like a new nickel finish), but in order to do so i must remove the handlebar assemblies from the axle.
the manual tells me that i have to "use a 3/16-inch punch to knock out the roll pin that holds the handlebar assembly onto the axle".
well, i haven't used EXTREME brute force yet, but the roll pin (see attached pics) isn't moving at all when i hit it. do i have to hit it from the top (where the handlebars are) or from the bottom? is this an act of sheer strength? or is there some kind of magic involved?
i don't want to damage my controls because i'm doing something wrong, so hopefully someone will chime in and give me some good advice ...
thx a lot!!!
