Posting for some documentation because I love having some paper trails (and paper boys).

Paperboy was booting okay and playing fine. Credit line would flash between 63 credits, 1/2 credit to play and free play. Also no audio.

Had continuity between all pins. Logic probe had no input to LS244 at 8F pin 2, so probed pins on the 5220 at 7D, and had no logic on any pin. Verified -5V on pin 4 and +5 on pin 5 so did a swap and immediate had sound and all coin door inputs were back. Noticed that changing the pokeys between good and bad had no effect on coin doors, but bad pokey specifically manifested as dip switches all pegged to ON. Top pokey coincided with the 6/7A.

Sounds like you've got a bad POKEY?

Have you run self tests and what are the results of the input/sound tests. Please compare the result you get to the manual and report back.

The sockets on these boards are frequently bad so when you pull a chip you should look the sockets over.
