Has anyone used Pandora for a gameroom jukebox?

To sum it up, I am tired of my CD Jukebox and have used Pandora on my phone and really like it.

This box does not get the love it deserves....

I am thinking of moving it upstairs to the den and playing something off a computer, which can randomly (or manually) choose songs directly off the internet and play to the TV for video...and music through the speakers.

Anyone care to share their setup for music in the gameroom?

pandora is fine unless you have very particular taste in music, then it just plays the same couple songs over and over. i downloaded about 7 gigs of choice music and set up a digital jukebox with my mala frontend on my mame cab.

this Pandora thing....do you download an application or just go to their site and create playlist? didn't see a download anywhere.

I have several different stations on quickmix. I rarely ever get a repeat.
after seeing your post i went back and checked it out again. it had been several years since i used it because of the repeating songs issue, but i noticed immediately they have added significantly to the labels who's music they play. it seems to have improved greatly since i last used it, i listened for several hours today with no repeats.

Pandora has started playing ads, and also limiting its usage per month.

I bought a USB touch screen off of ebay for $100 and the touchtone jukebox software for $30. Add a spare computer, and now I have the 60 gigs of music on my network accessible through a touchscreen mounted on my bar.
