Painting- whats the lowest temp you have painted in?

I am building a 60-1 for someone and he gave me two cabs. Both in great structural shape but need painted in the worst way. I am going to use black latex and will thin with some water or floetrol. Also gonna paint the cab vertical instead of laying it down on its side.

Being that it is January in PA, my garage is close to 40 degrees. I have a propane bottle to heater which can warm it up considerably, but I get about two good 12 hour work days out of it.

So what is the lowest temperature that you have painted in successfully? I mnow my wife would prefer me to paint in the garage rather than the kitchen (again).

I painted this in my basement just the other day and this time a year in Upstate NY it is 55 degrees in my basement. I didn't use latex though I used Rustolem Flat Black enamel and I soaked the foam roller in Mineral Spirits before each coat.
