Tell me your setup..
Lay down tarps?
What's your spray set up?
How do you handle over spray?

I hung plastic in the back patio, that we never use anyway.
I covered the floor and use bricks around the perimeter to keep the sides from blowing around.
It is around 6'wide x 10' long.
I put an adjustable work light in so I can see the paint go down.
There is no ventilation so I use a good respirator.

I paint in the yard using trestles. The bright sun allows me to see the overlap to make sure I am getting good coverage

I try to lay horizontal so I get no runs

Living in a warm climate helps, so if the temps too high (>90) I wait for a cooler day so the paint drys after the overlap comes preventing dryness and blotches

Also I don't use drop-sheets, as the grass is large and dries before it hits anything.

I stand upwind, so don't bother with respirators, also if the wind is too high I don't do painting

I use a compressor to blow away the sanding dust etc too, and a lint free cloth with a bit of turps on the rag to remove dust from the pores

How about spraying devices? Electric, pneumatic? Model? Do you sand between coats? If so, what kind wet sand, and grit size?

I spray with hvlp and compressor.
This model is inexpensive and works great.http://www.tcpglobal.com/spraygundepot/itemdetail.aspx?itemno=TCP+G6600-18
The nozzle and tip are interchangeable for different viscosity paints and primers.

Yes. I wet sand with 400 grit between coats.
I just lay the cab on it's side and do small areas and use a towel to control the water.
