Just thought I would post a pic of the painted cabinets that Brett and I have done in the last week or so. These things are 100% accurate. Hats off to Brett for the CNC programming. Tomorrow the final assembly will take place where all of the front panels and monitor shelf and PCB shelf will be installed. Might post some more pics tomorrow when they are complete.

Man, those look awesome! Definitely makes one consider going that route rather than a lot of bondo/sand/etc. on an existing old cabinet... makes a full-on restoration a lot easier...

John's got way more patience then i do to paint that stuff! Oil based, applied with an hvlp gun.. here's the Q*bert sitting in my garage that John's picking up tomorrow for paint. Camera batteries are toast, did what i could...

price to be determined when we get all the way done. John figured out the paint materials were way more than anticipated, as did i, i quoted a price on the nintedo's assuming they were completely made from 9/16ths ply, and in reality, Nintendo cabinets are made with the following thicknesses - 1/4, 3/8. 1/2, 9/16, 3/4 throughout the cab, as various pieces!

Damn, those look great. Are you going to sell any unassembled, or are they all going to be built/painted? I would be interested in one in a "kit" form, as long as shipping wasn't outrageous. Again, nice work.

To all that have asked so far, they could be shipped unassembled, but the shipping is pretty high, and assembly of the nintendos is not really that straight forward.
