Picked up a Pac-Man yesterday. One side has nice art work, one side the usual roughness, and the front/ kick plate art and paint is flaking. Not a huge fan of covering pac artwork with vinyl art.
My question is this- the wood cabinet is all in good shape. For those of you that have decided to keep your pacs (insert your game here) but had some paint flaking, what did you seal the old paint/ art with that would not detract from the appearance, but preserved the old paint? I just don;t have the time, energy, or interest in restoring the cab right now.
And the front is quite a bit rougher, so I am considering vinyl for the front, opinions?
