Yo guys,

Now that we have my pro-cut wood here and sanded, next job is to paint it. But I'm kind of torn. Do I paint, or do I create my own artwork to go on it?

If the latter, how would I properly go about it? The games in it are going to be Simpsons, Turtles 1 and 2 and probably going to get another Real Ghostbusters board. So I'd like to join different elements of those artworks together into one image for the front and sides.

Only problem is, mine isn't going to be standard arcade width. It's 30 inches in height where the coin door would go, about 10 " wide, and a control panel. Video and audio will be RCA connected to any TV in the house....but I wanted to have that arcade feel to it so that is why we went this route. I also wanted it to be picked up and portable....

Any ideas on which way I should go?

I'd the artwork option, looks much better as is worth the extra hassles.
You could go the easy option or the hard option. Either buy existing artwork (ie: a poster) that is close to what you are after or if your up to it design your own artwork with all of the elements you mentioned and get a one off print.
