Have an order out over a month now with no communication from him whatsoever. Anyone getting their orders?

When I went to order in early December his website said on it he is running behind several weeks. What has he done wrong? He communicated orders would be delayed.

I got my order from Ian just fine, about a week and a half. Over Christmas break, No issues.

I did get an email response. Believe he is working on some adapters etc.

I'll second that note for Peter @ arcadepartsandrepair. He's super helpful and responsive.

This is definitely not a commentary on Ian as I've heard great things about him and his work. He's been dealing with one of my worst nightmares with the fire. I hope all gets righted for him and his family soon for sure.

I wish I would've seen this thread before placing an order. He needs to shut down the website if he can't fulfill orders. I ordered a cap kit from him that I needed for a route game and never received a shipping notice. I sent an email asking for a status update because I wasn't sure what was going on with no response and then I sent another email asking to cancel the order since i ordered from another source. Still no response.

I'm not sure what happened with him but it's completely irresponsible to take orders and not give people information. I wish Bob was still around.

Perhaps you can cancel the PayPal transaction. Order from arcadepartsandrepair.

Problem is most of the people (including someone who just posted here) say to give "leeway" to this.

One of my biggest gripes is yes, I understand this is a hobby for people who make/sell certain products but it is completely unprofessional and irresponsible to tag people along and not communicate with them and just get a special pass for that. Some of us have businesses to run and want to SUPPORT the hobby, and you need customers to do that. If this is a side gig get someone to help.

And NEVER EVER blame the customer for your own delays and fallacies. Had that happen to me twice on this forum.

why doesn't ian just log into his laptop or charity computer at some
rando church and sign into klov and tell everyone, HEY GUYS!

He probably needs the cash flow. I'm just sad to see the destruction he's wreaking on his brand. We need more vendors, not less.

My most recent order shipped one day after i ordered and is arriving today. He seems to be back on the ball as far as i can tell.

I think you just lucked out and hit the 6 week window when he shipped.

I realize the fire he had has set him back, but he needs to shut the online store down, get his life back in order, and then start it back up. He'd keep a lot more customers that way as opposed to his current business model of taking orders with zero communication.

Also noticed his kits are no longer "John's Arcade branded cap kits".....

Ian's wife here.

I first want to apologize for not seeing this earlier, and being able to respond to everyone's questions/concerns.

First and foremost, we had a house fire. Imagine losing everything you've ever owned in 10 minutes. Ian and I walked into a frame, with only the master bedroom untouched with our pets alive. We live in an apartment 1/6th the size of our house with the business inside as our house gets rebuilt. The rebuilding process is slow.

One thing we have done is say that there is a 2-3 week leeway for orders because of how hectic everything has been. It's been posted on the site for a while now. Ian and I both have day jobs and we only do orders and emails at night and on weekends.

If there is anyone who absolutely needs something, you can message me on the business Facebook. Those go directly to me and I try to be timely on answering those. I may not be able to answer what is causing your PP problems and how to fix that...
....but I can help out with cap kit questions, some monitor questions, making caps, and where your orders are.

What I want to get across is we are rebuilding our life. There has been more bumps on the road than we anticipated, but we are trying to make it right.

I don't have a bone in this fight, but it is only on your home landing page. It disappears once you go to products. Maybe add it to the shopping cart screen at check out? (I just added an item to the chart and didn't still see the message.)

Good luck on rebuilding the house.

Got a pic?

Pic of what? A folded over baggie with a staple in it?

And I'm not trying to fight or be antagonistic - I want them to succeed as well, but the lack of communication has been frustrating. Glad to see Ian's wife's post.
