well picked up a pacman today, no power, no humm not lights no nothing.. well its missing the backdoor switch.. which I do not have and really dont want to buy since im sure this thing is probly broken anyways... there are 2 blue and 2 grey wires in the spot where it should be, how would one go about wiring around?

Did you remember to turn it on? There's a switch on the top of the game. :D

Check all the fuses and fuse holders. That's a VERY common failure on that game, the fuse holders crumble with age.

Do you have any signs of life?

0 signs, I did flip the on off switch and then just went around it and put the 2 wires together but nothing. I will check the fuse holders, looked at the fuses and they seemed ok. Was a little bummed to find it not working but it did come with a working space invaders cabaret so even if I have to junk it im still happy :)

Don't worry - you won't have to junk it. Pac-Man is probably the single easiest game to get working.

Don't rely on "it looks OK" - actually check it. Use your meter to check the fuses. Following the wiring diagram in the manual, work your way through the AC power - make sure that you're getting power at the game end of the power cord, at the fuse block, on the other side of the fuse, etc - all the way to the transformer. I once fixed a Berzerk in five minutes that the previous owner couldn't get to work - the problem? The wires weren't screwed in properly at the replaced wall plug, and one of them came off.
